Thanks for the help. According the Kel-Tec, the assembly pin is factory inserted from the right side of the gun. To see if your pin is centered, take the slide off the gun and insert the pin into the body of the gun while the slide is removed. I just popped into the KTOG forum and read a release from Kel Tec regarding a barrel recall of sorts. I knew some PRM's had a keyholing issue. It seems KT has determined the rifling of the barrels is the root cause.Remington had a sort-of recall on their 597 in .17 because the ammo is not intended for semi-auto use and that particular design would fire out-of-battery. The customers paid some money to trade them for the .22 LR or .22 WMR version. Given that precedent, I doubt Kel-Tec will make a .17 semi-auto. I don't see much value in a .17 PMR-30 anyway. ….
